Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and organised administrator to recruit as a Medical Secretary. The post will be based with the Torfaen Community Older Adult Mental Health team, the post holder will be required to perform a range of administration and secretarial duties.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work well as part of a team, be flexible to the needs of the service and able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high quality standards of work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as you will liaise with professionals and patients.
Main duties of the job
To provide a full confidential secretarial service to consultants and team. Carry out duties as defined by the Older Adult Community mental health team lead.
You must display a considerable degree of initiative and judgement and maintain a friendly disposition when dealing with professionals and service users as well as relatives and visitors to site.
You will be an experienced administrator with copy typing, audio typing, and word and excel skills with the ability to produce letters and work to the highest standards. Medical Terminology would be advantageous, although onsite training will be available.
The post holder will have the ability to work well within a team environment and be able to manage and prioritise own workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
