Job summary

The ABUHB Clinical Photography & Medical Illustration department have an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy team throughout the Trust.

We have a very successful TeleDermoscopy service that has been adopted on an 'All Wales' basis and have recently launched similar patient pathways for the ENT and Maxillofacial departments, which you would be part of.

You will be working as a valued member of our team to provide comprehensive, standardised high quality clinical photography and video in the studio and on the wards, as well as covering clinics and taking images in theatre.

You must have a friendly disposition, be able to work as part of a team and be able to manage and prioritise own workload.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will work on their own initiative and as part of the team to support the provision of a professional, cost effective, efficient clinical photographic, graphic design and video service to the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • An understanding of patient confidentiality and dignity.
  • Knowledge of a range of professional graphic software.

Desirable

  • Post graduate level certificate in Clinical Photography.
  • Registered Medical Illustration Practitioner, AHCS.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation and professional guidelines.
