The eye clinic is a friendly environment where multi-professional working is encouraged. At Aneurin Bevan our Ophthalmic department, consisting of 11 Consultant Ophthalmogists, one Associate Specialist and 5 Optometrists who provides invaluable support to busy outpatient eye clinic.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Optometrist with excellent communication skills to join our team. We are actively involved in teaching and clinical audit.
Main duties of the job
The post involves work across a variety of sub-specialties across the Ophthalmology Department, including, but not limited to theglaucoma, medical retina, cornea and core optometry services. Advanced Clinical Optometrists have the highest level of specialist clinicaltraining, knowledge, skills and experience to provide disease treatment, patient care and management of both optometric and specific ophthalmology caseloads.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
