Job summary

The post holder will possess highly developed organisational expertise in order to plan, allocate, manage and develop a broad range of complex programmes to effect the delivery of podiatry & orthotics services across primary, community, secondary locations and other agencies.

The post-holder will deputise for and assist the Head of Podiatry & Orthotics as the professional head of service to provide leadership to the Aneurin Bevan Health Board Podiatry & Orthotics Team.

The post holder will assist in identifying the strategic direction for services and develop collaborative working with health board planners, external agencies and stakeholders in order to develop, deliver and monitor Podiatry & Orthotic Services throughout the Aneurin Bevan Health Board.

Main duties of the job

Deputise for Head of Podiatry and Orthotics as required

Line Management responsibilities for Principal Podiatrists and Principal Orthotist

Assist the Head of Podiatry and Orthotics with strategic planning

Assist the Head of Podiatry and Orthotics with aspects relating to Quality, Finance and Performance management .

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is fixed term for 12 months due to - meet the needs of the service
