Job summary
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) has a large and complex ICT service that underpins the delivery of digital health care. ICTsupports around 14,000 users and over 200 services across more than 120 sites. The adoption and expectations placed upon digital healthcareare expected to grow substantially over the next 5 years as the health board embraces mobility both in primary and secondary care settings.The post holder will be part of the ICT Systems Team and Technical Services Team.To provide support for one or more of technical areas within the team. This will involve a number of elements of server systems includingphysical hardware and hosting, virtualisation, backup and recovery, software installation as well as configuration and investigating issues.
Main duties of the job
To provide support for the ICT System Team Leader in relation to tasks such as daily operations, monitoring and system housekeeping. Theywill be required to analyse calls that are logged by end users and ICT colleagues to identify resolutions, or escalations.To assist the team in providing timely provision of server-based technology to be adopted within the Health Board, supported by an awarenessof new technology and solutions available within NHS Wales and the IT sector as a whole.To work with other sections of the ICT Department, other Health Boards and National Teams.To be involved in systems patching, monitoring and capacity management related work, utilising technical qualifications/skills, knowledge andexperience.
