The Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at Talygarn also has an Assertive Outreach Team (AOT). The post holder may be required to support AOT at times depending on the demand on the service,

Main duties of the job

Band 6 - Community Psychiatric Nurse Torfaen

We are looking for an RNMH who is highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and passionate about service user centred care to work within the Torfaen Adult Community Mental Health Team, based at Talygarn, County Hospital in Torfaen..

You will have knowledge and experience in the care of people with complex, severe and enduring mental health problems in a community setting. You will have opportunity to link with the wider service which includes a Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team, Primary Care Mental Health Support Services (PCMHSS), Assertive Outreach Team (AOT) and Inpatient Services.

You will be committed to ensuring the delivery of the highest quality user-centred care and contribute to the development of mental health services in the Borough of Torfaen. The successful applicant will be part of a developing service providing a high standard and evidence based care to those in Torfaen. The CMHT at Talygarn has an AOT attached to it. The post holder may be required to support AOT at times depending on the demand on the service,

The post is a permanent post with full-time hours.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
