Job summary

The Commissioning Team within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Directorate are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to deliver a programme of training in relation to clinical commissioning.

The role will initially focus on the delivery of training around the new Continuing Healthcare Framework however the role is broad and will also include; Section 117 procedures, Additional Learning Needs procedures and training on the relevant governance for the processes employed by the clinical teams in ensuring prudent, safe and effective commissioned care.

The ideal candidate will have a professional registration relevant to Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. Training and support will be provided by a team of knowledgeable colleagues.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Develop and deliver a range of training programmes relevant to clinical commissioning.

Provide expert advice to colleagues seeking information relating to commissioning procedures and policies.

Audit the effectiveness of delivered training programmes.

Work with the Service Improvement Manager to identify, report and analyse performance data.

Provide a deputy function to case managers and other team members when absence or priority dictates.
