For band 5 nurses looking for a career move or a change in scope of nursing. An opportunity has arisen for a district nurse to join our community team.
We are a team of community nurses who cover the local GP surgery population to visit housebound service users in their own homes.
Main duties of the job
There are a wide variety of nursing duties that are implemented in patients homes. This includes initial assessment, catheter management, diabetic management, wound care, palliative and end of life care, venepuncture, POCT, injection administration, pressure ulcer assessment and prevention, patient education, nephrostomy care, post-op wounds/drains, removal of clips/sutures.
About us
The team consists of a team manager, a team leader, band 5 district nurses, band 4/3 HCSW and admin support.
The team work closely with each other as well as other MDT professionals.
