Job summary

Are you motivated and enthusiastic about joining our neonatal team at the purpose-built Grange University Hospital when open? We have a positions available for registered nurses (adult or Paediatric trained) and midwives. Why not come and join our team? No previous experience required as full training will be provided.

We have a dedicated team of Neonatal Nurses, Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Consultants and Practice Development Team. As part of the All Wales Neonatal Network Transport Service, we care not only for babies and their families born in our Health Board but from the whole of Wales. We also have a dedicated Neonatal Outreach Service.

Main duties of the job

During your induction you will work supernumerary with someone supporting you, while working through an education pathway.We have a purpose built unit consisting of 8 ITU cots, 10 HDU cots and 12 SC cots.The nursing establishment for the Service complies with the All Wales Neonatal standards regarding staffing which is 1:1 nursing for ITU babies, 1:2 for HDU babies and 1:4 for SC babies.We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 5 nurses with a flexible approach to work who are able to work the full nursing rota. This includes 12 hour shift patterns of days, nights and weekends.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
