Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Legal Services Manager. As a professional manager working at corporate level across the organisation, the post offers exposure to a broad range of work including clinical negligence and personal injury claims, Coroner Inquests, Patient Redress under the "Putting Things Right" Regulations and general legal matters affecting the Health Board and its staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of work to personally manage and oversee encompassing Coroner inquests, preparation of witness statements, supporting staff to inquest; assessment and management of cases through the PTR Redress process, assessment of legal liability; clinical negligence and personal injury claims; collating and submitting Financial Reimbursement application to the Welsh Risk pool, including preparation of high level evidence of learning and assurance.
The post holder will have conduct of their own cases and as such should have relevant and suitable knowledge and experience from a claims, legal, inquest or related investigatory background.
