An exciting opportunity for a hard working, experiences and motivated Assistant Directorate Manager has arisen in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Directorate Management Team.

The post holder will work to support the Directorate Manager in the management and delivery of high quality, clinically effective and cost-efficient services for clinical services within the Orthopaedic directorate. The successful candidate will work to support the Directorate Manager in all aspects of business and service management, in order to achieve the activity levels, quality and performance standards of the Directorates.

Main duties of the job

To support the Directorate Manager in the management and delivery of high quality, clinically effective and cost-efficient services for clinical services within the Directorate. With a specific focus on Inpatient services.

To support the Directorate Manager in all aspects of business and service management, in order to achieve the activity levels, quality and performance standards of the Directorate.

To have delegated management responsibilities for the service in the absence of the Directorate Manager/Deputy Directorate Manager.

To support best practice in relation to the management of personnel, finance, procurement, performance and governance.

To be responsible for taking the lead for a defined area of clinical services and performance by the Directorate Manager.

To support the Directorate Manager in developing and implementing modernisation strategies to meet national and local healthcare agendas.

As part of the Directorate management team, the post holder will contribute fully to the overall management and development of clinical services within the Scheduled Care Division.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
