Job summary

  • Deliver a range of Complimentary Therapies to patients under the care of the Palliative Care Teamo Undertake planned patient care under the direction of trained staff.o Assist the Clinical Nurse Specialists and Medical team whilst caring for Palliative Care patients.o Assists with the timely discharge of palliative care patients allowing them to be within their preferred places of care/death

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Palliative Care Team delivering evidence based, high quality clinical care that focuses on the directneed of the patient. The post holder will assist the Clinical Nurse Specialists and medical team whilst caring for Palliative Care patients.

The post holder will endeavour to provide for the holistic needs of the individual delivering complimentary therapies to patients, in conjunctionwith other disciplines within the health care environment.

The post holder will also execute a broad variety of duties for Palliative Care patients and will be willing to expand their skill set to the needs of the service.

They will be expected to work independently and as part ofthe team, supervising patients and assisting them with future care plan.

The post holder will also be required to offer assistance ininduction of junior staff, students and agency employees.

The post holder will be able to deliver elements of health and social care by having the knowledge and assessed level of competence toundertake such a role- locally assessed
