Job summary
Experienced Physiotherapist wanted to support our physiotherapy team joining our caring Practices and one of the largest Health Boards in Wales.
We are a cluster of GP Practices across the South Monmouthshire county which serves a population of c.50,000.

For sometime the practices of Monmouthshire have been diversifying their teams to include many different Allied Health Professionals of different specialities and are delighted to be now able to look to support the widespread adoption of the Physiotherapist role across all our practice sites.
The practices are used to training GPs and also pharmacists and are now keen to use this skill set to help support Physiotherapists when needed. We, however, also wish to have the support of an experienced physiotherapist who can support the new band 7 physiotherapist(s) in their new role working one morning a week alongside the NCN team.
Main duties of the job
The Lead Physiotherapist will encourage the band 7 physiotherapists to develop and enhance their skill set with regular personal appraisals and opportunities for development depending on agreed preferences by the band 7 Physiotherapist, NCN team and practice teams.

You will need to have confidence to communicate and influence groups and individuals at all levels while remaining committed to providing excellent patient care.
The Lead Physiotherapist will be based within the NCN team, supporting the band 7 physiotherapist(s) across the five GP Practices.
The Lead Physiotherapist will ensure that the band 7 physiotherapist provides both telephone appointments and face to face appointments for patients presenting to primary care dependent on their agreed competencies.
The Lead Physiotherapist will attend the quarterly NCN meetings.
The Physiotherapist will attend regular meetings with the band 7 physiotherapist(s) and the NCN team as is deemed necessary.
