This post is an exciting opportunity for a band 7 Dietitian to join the Weight Management Service (WMS) in ABUHB.
The post holder will be expected to establish and lead on service development as well as delivering group therapy and 1:1 interventions for obese children/young people, and their families, with complex needs.
The post holder will be expected to work with families, schools, health visiting, the safeguarding team and several other partners to provide holistic patient centred care.
The post holder will be based at St Cadocs Hospital but would travel to different sites across the health board to deliver interventions therefore you must be able to travel to undertake the duties of the post at various locations is an essential part of the role. Agile working can be considered.
The Children and Young Person's Weight Management Service 'Connect' was established in 2019 with the aim of becoming a lifespan service by integrating with the Adult Weight Management service. We are a supportive multidisciplinary team with a strong ethos of mentoring and development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be working as part of the ABUHB Weight Management Service based at St Cadocs Hospital but would travel to different sites to deliver interventions. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Level 3 Dietetic Child Weight Management Service as per level 3 of the All Wales Weight Management Pathway alongside a multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will be expected to deliver dietetic interventions to young people and their families to support weight management, whilst working closely with other members of the MDT to provide a holistic intervention.
The post holder will be expected to lead on areas of service development for the Level 3 Child Weight Managment service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
