Job summary
The Scheduled care division within Anuerin Bevan University Health Board has undergone several exciting developments over recent months. With this in mind we would like to appoint a Directorate Manager for Haematology and Dermatology. This will be offered on a permanent basis and provide a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to expand their knowledge and raise their profile.
If you have experience of operational management, cancer pathways, referral to treatment targets and financial management, in addition to excellent leadership skills, then this post may be of interest to you .
Good analytical judgement and problem solving skills are vital to the success of this role together with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is a senior management professional within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB). They will be expected to provide professional management support, leadership and expertise to ensure that services within the Haematology and Dermatology Directorates are delivered effectively and efficiently in line with Divisional objectives and policy.
The post holder will operate as part of the Management Team for the Division. The Haematology and Dermatology Directorate Manager will provide leadership and, strategic and operational management for all staff within the Division to ensure the provision of a modern, patient focused service. The post holder will ensure that all resources allocated to the Division are used efficiently and effectively to provide these services and will be responsible for performance improvement within the Division.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
