Job summary
We are recruiting a Registered Nurse to join our District Nursing Team in the community of Blaenavon and surrounding areas.
We are offering a team approach to achieve care closer to home in line with Welsh Government initiatives.
We can support with personal and career development and offer opportunities to further enhance clinical skills within our community services.
The District Nursing Team comprises of a Team Manager, Team Leader, Band 5 Registered Nurses and Band 4 and 3 HCSW. We offer a team approach and work closely with local GP surgeries as well as other DN Teams within the borough.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without direction and supervision.
Demonstrate and supervise practice hours and procedures to registered and unregistered nursing staff to secure effective nursing practice.
To take a key role in the induction and mentorship of new and unregistered staff, and provide supervision.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
