Job summary

How Aneurin Bevan University Health Board communicates with and responds to its key stakeholders and manages its corporate business is critical to the organisation in setting the tone at the top; this postholder will play a fundamental role in supporting the Chief Business Officer to achieve that.

This is a high trust role working to support the Director of Corporate Governance and Chief Business Officer. The Corporate Business Manager will be responsible for providing high level, comprehensive support to ensure the development of a professional and effective business culture.

Main duties of the job

To work on own initiative to defined expectations, the post holder will decide how they are best achieved.Guided by principles and broad occupational policies or regulations. When necessary guidance may be provided.

The post holder will manage, co-ordinate the Corporate Business Team on their own initiative, including the Executive Assistant Function, ensuring comprehensive administration and office support is provided to the Chief Executive and Executive Directors. This is a key role to the effective running of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

In addition to running the day-to-day corporate business function, the post holder will lead the development, delivery and implementation of a departmental change programme to modernise business processes, systems and standards. They will ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget to achieve substantial improvements and efficiencies whilst maintaining high levels of team engagement, adoption and usage.
