Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Team Lead within Blaenau Gwent Adult Mental Health Services. The role will involve line management and clinical leadership for both the Community mental health team based at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan. Experience of working within a CMHT at a band 6 level or equivalent would be vital for this post, however consideration would be made for applicants who work within other clinical areas at this grade, depending on experience.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and motivated in providing evidence based patient care to a complex patient group with a range of mental health difficulties within the Blaenau Gwent catchment area. As the Team Lead you would be accountable for team performance and the quality of the service delivered. You would act as a role model to the team, support staff through clinical leadership and guidance helping them to develop and empower their own clinical skills. You would ensure appropriate tailored care plans are in place using a recovery focus, monitoring progress through caseload and management supervision. The successful candidate would be required to help enable any change management cascaded via the Directorate Management Team.
Main duties of the job
Operational leadership and management of the community mental health team.
To provide evidenced based, effective care for Adults with mental health needs in Blaenau Gwent.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
