Job summary
We are looking for dedicated, self-motivated Registered Nurse, who will be part of the Nurse Bank, specifically for CAMHS.
Successful candidates will work with young people displaying a variety of different psychiatric and psychological symptoms.
Main duties of the job
Bank CAMHS Nurse
The successful candidate will be level-headed, warm and possess a calm and accepting nature. They will be expected to support and work with emotionally distressed children and young people who require intensive input in order for them to remain both physically and emotionally safe. The care will be co-ordinated by CAMHS professionals, who will ensure that safety for the young person is paramount. The work will be carried out in a variety of different venues, but mainly hospital premises.
The successful person will have excellent communication skills, be able to work with other professionals, and will be required to work with different families and children in a positive, therapeutic manner. The successful candidate will also have training in de-escalation skills, and management and prevention of violence.
