Job summary
The Practice:Tredegar Health Centre is at the forefront of delivering a model of care which is supported by a large multi-disciplinary team which includes 2 Part Time Salaried GP's, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, 2 Full time Practice Nurses, 1 Part time Practice Nurse, 1 Full time Health Care Support Worker and a Psychological Well being Practitioner
The practice forms part of a collaborative Cell with Bryntirion Surgery, which has 2 well established Clinical Lead GP's who provide advice and support to the practice.
The practice is currently located within an ABUHB premise but is looking forwarding to relocating to a new purpose built Well Being Centre which is due for completion in December 2022. This will enhance the services provided to the population of Tredegar with the provision of multi disciplinary teams & collaborative working
You will lead and work alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team, delivering high quality care to patients. The Clinical Lead role is paramount in further developing and shaping the service model for the practice.
- We are at the leading edge of primary care developments, with a large MDT focused on delivering the right care at the right time.
- We are a Health Board Managed Practice, with a patient list size of 5,800
Main duties of the job
Lead the development and delivery contributing to the local population's health and wellbeing. Demonstrate innovation in the development of practice strategy and policy. Ensure adequate and appropriate supervision and mentoring for salaried and locum GPs working in the service.
Promote the health and well-being of all staff within the practice through effective working practices and behaviours.
Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in Primary Care.
We offer a generous relocation package and we are able to be flexible on your contract with full, part or portfolio contracts available. There is also a generous annual leave allowance, of 30 days per year, plus bank holidays.
