Job summary
We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated Registered Learning Disability Nurses/ Registered Mental Health Nurses to work on Ty Lafant, our 7 bedded Assessment & Treatment Unit for individuals with a Learning Disability. Ty Lafant provides short term assessment and treatment for individuals with a learning disability with mental health issues and / or challenging behaviour.We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day so you will need to have a flexible approach to take part in a shift system including nights and weekends.
Main duties of the job
The core activity of the Band 5 nurse is to ensure that there is a person centred, co-ordinated and integrated multi-disciplinary approach to support people with a learning disability who engage in behaviours that challenge and/ or have mental health problems.
This post is fixed term for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
