Job summary
This is a fixed term contract within the Wales Offender Personality Disorder Pathway. The post is hosted by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board; however, the majority of work is undertaken within the National Probation Service across their South East and South West Wales Probation offices.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to undertake psychological consultation, formulation, clinical intervention, and ad hoc assessment with people on probation screened into the Wales Offender Personality Disorder Pathway. The post holder's core work will involve consultation and formulation with probation practitioners.
The role will also involve staff training, support, and some research support. The post holder will be required to work independently on a day-to-day basis. The post holder will be required to enrol, be accepted onto, undertake, and successfully complete a structured programme of learning (including personal study, research, clinical experience, and assessment) to registration as a forensic psychologist.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
