Job summary

Annwylfan Ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, Ystrad Mynach. We are seeking to recruit 2 Registered Mental Health Nurses within our older adult mental health inpatient admission services at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital , the positions are full time but flexible working hours will be considered.

To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for those clients allocated to you, by the line manager or deputy within the unit.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered individual to join Annwylfan Admission Assessment Unit. The unit provides assessment, treatment and stabilisation of Older patient's with diagnosis of Dementia

Annwylfan Ward is an 16 bedded assessment ward serving the Caerphilly and Torfaen Borough for patients from the age of 65 upwards. The ward works closely with the Community Mental Health Team and associated services within ABUHB and within the catchment area. Annwylfan provides an ideal setting for newly qualified staff to gain experience within the Older Adult services.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality person centred care. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, carers and other professionals. A sound understanding of risk management and the CTP process is expected. You must be an excellent team player, have high levels of motivation and enthusiasm for working in a demanding but rewarding service. You will be joining a team that is passionate and focused on achieving excellence in care delivery, for this challenging and rewarding patient group.

Flexible working hours will be considered.
