Job summary

The duties of the post are to provide a full range of general medical services as contained within the National Health Services (Primary Care) Act 1997, which will include domiciliary visits as deemed appropriate. • The post holder is expected to support the partners of Brynderwen & Minster Surgery in providing all services outlined in the GMS Core Contract and in the aims and objectives of the Practice. • The post holder is expected to inform the Practice of any previous or new convictions should they occur. • The post holder is expected to support and input into the aims of the practice in areas of clinical governance, good practice, quality outcomes framework, enhanced services, practice audit, referral review and any other improvement plans as determined by the practice. Your performance in each area will be monitored and referrals may be re-routed if appropriate

Main duties of the job

Dynamic: a dedicated and progressive IT team who oversee and manage the administrative workload, thus maximising income whilst reducing clinician workload. Varied clinical skill mix, offering opportunities for clinical leadership, training and career development.Dedicated and motivated in delivering evidence-based care. A dedicated, happy team who are passionate about Primary Care.Well organised. A dedicated team of nurses, delivering exceptional care; providing family planning, chronic disease management and many other services. Integrated allied and community teams. Positive in providing a structured, efficient, organised and patient focused service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, committed GP to join the established team of 9 partners and 3 salaried doctors. Providing care to a population of 19,000 patients over 2 sites in East Cardiff. Possibility for job-share.

The practice serves a diverse population of circa 19,000 patients across East Cardiff.The practice has two sites, Brynderwen Surgery in St. Mellons and Minster Surgery in Roath.The practice strives to deliver excellent, evidence based care through a team who work together in harmony.
