Highly Specialist Team Lead Occupational Therapist

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the CAV Live Well service.

The post-holder will work across the Live Well service, supporting to people with complex long term and neurological conditions to live well, optimise functional recovery and manage their symptoms.

You will need to have a keen interest in transformational service design aligned with the UHB's Shaping Our Future Wellbeing strategy and Cardiff and Vale Rehabilitation Model and the enthusiasm and communication skills to work collaboratively with community partners across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

This post offers a unique opportunity to deliver a truly biopsychosocial approach, innovate across boundaries and utilise community power.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work flexibly, autonomously and collaboratively with other AHP's to develop and deliver holistic and integrated patient-centred care. Interventions are designed in collaboration with the service user and maybe delivered individually or group-based, uni-professionally or inter-professionally.

Together with Occupational colleagues across the wider Live Well service you will develop the offer within the service and provide leadership responsibilities such as supervision of rotational and support staff, appraisal and supervision, and maintenance of clinical standards in accordance with policy and legal standards.

There is a strong service development and improvement focus to the role and the post-holder will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the community to negotiate care and wellbeing provision across the primary/secondary care interface.

The role will include education of AHP students on practice placements.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
