Are you an experienced midwife ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are seeking highly motivatedBand 7 Delivery Suite Co-ordinators to join our dynamic maternity service and play a pivotal role in supporting safe, high-quality care for women and their families.
As a Delivery Suite Band 7 Co-ordinator, you will providevisible leadership, supervision and management to midwives, nurses, students and clinical support workers. You will lead by example, uphold the highest clinical standards, and foster a culture that prioritises patient safety, teamwork and innovation.
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are already working at an advanced clinical level with a broad range of midwifery skills.
- Have the ability to lead and support junior staff, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
- Communicate effectively with all staff groups and demonstrate confidence in decision-making during busy and complex situations.
- Possess a strong ethos around clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
Are you an experienced midwife looking to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are seeking motivated and skilled Band 7 Delivery Suite Co-ordinators to join our service and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, safe and compassionate care.
As a Delivery Suite Band 7 Co-ordinator, you will be expected to provideleadership, supervision and management to midwives, nurses, students and clinical support workers within a busy and dynamic clinical environment.
You will appreciate and champion the diversity of the women and families we serve, uphold high clinical standards, and actively contribute to improving patient safety. You will bring a spirit of innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are already working at an advanced clinical level with a broad range of midwifery skills.
- Can support and guide junior staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and can liaise effectively with all staff groups.
- Have the confidence and ability to lead a team within a complex and high-pressure environment.
- Have a strong ethos around clinical excellence, safety and service improvement.
- Are willing to engage in the managerial and leadership responsibilities expected at Band 7.

This post is secondment until May 2027 and Sept 2027.
