Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Operations Team within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board's Finance department. The postholder will play a key role in fulfilling the UHB's responsibility to make timely payments to Continuing Healthcare (CHC) providers, who provide care to the UHB's community patients.
The postholder will work in close coordination with the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care Business Partnering team, gaining experience of CHC accounting processes which will aid their professional development.
The role is 37.5 hours per week (5 days in 10 to work from the office).
Main duties of the job
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING
The postholder will be responsible for the verification and payment of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) invoices, as well as supporting and contributing to CHC accounting processes, and communicating with various stakeholders.
Candidates must possess excellent communication, organisational and IT skills as well as an outstanding attention to detail. They should be committed to working flexibly in a team which delivers an excellent service to its stakeholders.
The office base will be Woodland House with the expectation that half their time is spent working from home, appropriate equipment and support will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
