Job summary
We are pleased to offer a Band 6 opportunity within Cardiff and Vale Occupational Therapy Service, supporting the palliative care pathway. The postholder will work closely with the Specialist Palliative Care MDT to ensure that patients receive timely Occupational Therapy assessment and proactive interventions todeliver the Right Care at the Right Time in the Right Place.

Main duties of the job
This static part-time Occupational Therapy post will further develop your leadership and management skills within the Cardiff & Vale UHB Palliative Care Team. You will have opportunity to consolidate clinical skills, build experience and invest in quality improvement developments. The postholder will be supported with induction/training and clinical supervision. You will be supported in your professional development underpinned by the RCOT Pillars of Practice and Cardiff and Vale Occupational Therapy Strategy and Operational Plan 2024-2026. You will deliver occupationally focused practice, delivering outcomes that matter to people using evidence based practice and research. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. The post will primarily be based in University Hospital Llandough, but you may also be required to work in the University Hospital of Wales to meet service demands.
