Job summary

Our Practice Education Team is expanding! We have exciting Clinical Practice Educator positions to support our workforce redesign. If you are confident in your clinical, teaching, assessing skills, and complex decision-making, you can help deliver comprehensive training programs across the Integrated Children's Community Nursing Service and to various non-healthcare professionals, following organisational and national guidelines.

As part of a small team, you will work collaboratively and autonomously to implement and evaluate education programs, positively impacting the quality of patient care for babies, children, and young people with complex health needs. With a flexible working pattern across clinical shifts, you will ensure high professional standards in line with C&V UHB policies, values and behaviours.

We offer continued professional development opportunities to keep your clinical and non-clinical skills and knowledge challenged and of high standard. You will support registered and unregistered staff members and students in their professional and personal growth. This role requires collaborative work with the multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency services.

Main duties of the job

  • To deliver training, assessment, education, development and training programmes and educational strategy across the Integrated Childrens Community Nursing Service and to a range of non-health care professionals in line with organisational and national guidelines.

  • The Clinical Practice Educator is accountable for their own professional actions, and is responsible for supporting the collaborative development, implementation and evaluation of education programmes to positively impact the delivery of quality patient care.

  • The post holder will work alongside registered, non-registered, nursing staff and allied health professionals caring for children and young people (YP) whom have complex health needs within the community setting, to support with learning and assess competence and confidence.

  • The post holder will ensure service delivery is of a high professional standard that is in line with C&V UHB policies and values.

  • As a professional nurse, the Clinical Practice Educator is responsible for the provision of support and assistance requiring dexterity, precision, accuracy and prolonged concentration to patients, nursing and allied health professional.
