Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an infectious diseases CNS to join the team at the Children's Hospital for Wales.
We are looking for a highly motivated clinical nurse specialist to join the nursing team within the service for Wales, based at the Children's Hospital for Wales, Cardiff.
Main duties of the job
This comes at an exciting time of expansion of the regional Paediatric Infectious Diseases for South Wales which is now in receipt of Welsh Government funding.
The successful applicants will form part of the Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology (PIID) team based at the Children's Hospital for Wales in Cardiff. You will be involved in all aspects of the Paediatric Infectious Diseases work, notably the clinical management of children and young people with HIV, TB, Hepatitis B and C and other chronic infections. You will also play a role in the acute Paediatric Infectious Disease consult service for the Children's Hospital and the paediatric units across South Wales and in due course in the development of a Paediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship program.
The PIID team will consist of 3 consultants, and also has 2 WTE Paediatric Immunology CNSs with whom you will work closely.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
