We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 to be part of an established Primary Care Education Team. Our team is looking for a dynamic, autonomous and enthusiastic registered nurse with proven knowledge and experience of healthcare education. As a Clinical Practice Educator, you will support the provision of professional leadership for all nurses working in General Practice; both registered and unregistered nurses across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, including general practice nurses working in HMP Cardiff and those working with vulnerable groups across the UHB area.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
A key element of the role will be the identification of learning and development needs for Practice Nurses and the co-ordination of a programme of development across Cardiff & Vale UHB. Identify and develop training opportunities for individual nurses and the ongoing professional development needs of nursing staff working in primary care. In addition, support the delivery of in-house training programmes. You will be an experienced qualified Registered Nurse and display excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across Primary Care. The role will be based in Woodland House within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board however cross locality working will be expected within Cardiff and the Vale.

- A Registered General Nurse training to Degree or accepted equivalent level. knowledge and experience with evidence of highly developed and specialist knowledge in primary care nursing including public health nursing, and chronic conditions management within the Primary Care setting.
- Teaching and Assessing qualification, for example, Cert Ed, PGC
- Community Nursing Specialist Practitioner qualification (practice nursing pathway) or Nurse Practitioner qualification supplemented by significant specialist training.
- Masters or equivalent level of experience
