Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Clinical Audit Assistant within the Patient Safety and Quality Department at Cardiff and Vale UHB.

The post holder will be an integral part of the Clinical Audit Team and will support the provision of a comprehensive and effective service, supplying medical records to support clinical audits undertaken within the Patient Safety and Quality Assurance Teams and the wider Health Board.

In order to meet this challenging role you will need to be confident, a team player, with excellent communication skills to build and maintain good working relationships with clinical areas, clinical coding and medical records.

The Clinical Audit Assistants are a vital part of the Clinical Audit Team supporting the Clinical Audit Facilitators and the organisation to fulfil their commitments to National Clinical Audits.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To maintain a supply of medical records to the Clinical Audit team and Wider Patient Safety and Quality team. To work with colleagues within the team to understand areas of priority. To provide general administrative support to the clinical audit coordinators and Clinical Audit Leads
