Job summary

The Community Nursing Service in the South & East Cardiff Locality delivers highly skilled nursing care to patients in their own homes and in the community setting.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Care Support worker to join our team. If you are conscientious, enthusiastic and forward thinking we welcome enquiries from you. We provide a comprehensive induction programme and encourage professional development and lifelong learning.

- To undertake HCSW duties as required by clinical area reflecting theFundamental Skills, Supportive Skills and some Additional Skills as detailed in the HCSW Skills Framework.- To implement prescribed plans of care under indirect supervision of theregistered practitioner, assessing the effectiveness of the care provided and feedback the results.- To undertake non-nursing duties and clerical duties as required in the clinical area.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity exists for a conscientious, motivated and innovative practitioner to work within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and support the Butetown District Nurse Team.

We require enthusiastic and positive practitioners who are pro-active and organised. You should work well as part of a team and take ownership and responsibility for providing a safe and excellent service to patients within your care.

We expect our staff to be professional and consistent role models who lead by example, and are committed to learning and improving to develop themselves and others. They must also take the Health Boards beliefs and values into consideration.

If you have a natural ability to put others at ease, are patient, calm and reassuring, have the ability to communicate honestly when under pressure and work well as part of a team we would like to receive your application.Must have the ability to travel between bases in a timely manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
