Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiff and Vale UHB Commissioning Teams comprising of the Area Planning Board for Substance Use and the Corporate Commissioning Team.
The team covers a diverse and interesting range of functions. Would you be interested in providing support and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from people / patients using services, partners, internal departments and liaising with service providers / stakeholders?
Our services include health promotion and public health functions as well as the provision of local primary care services and the running of hospitals, health centres, community health teams and mental health services. We work closely with Health Boards and Trusts across South Wales as well as our local and third sector partners to provide a full range of health services for our residents and those from further afield who use our specialist services.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to prepare agendas, coordinate arrangements for meetings and take minutes during meetings. Duties also include supporting the team with processing financial transactions such as checking invoices and inputting data accurately, checking and processing archived records, as well as other key tasks to support the business function of the team.
The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the confidence to liaise with staff and services including senior managers that are internal and external to the organisation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
