Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Team Leader/Senior Orthopaedic Scrub/Operating Department Practioner with a broad clinical background in Orthopaedic Surgery and demonstrable management skills.
The post holder is expected to work closely with all the disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards for all the patients requiring all aspects of peri-operative care following appropriate training encompassing a variety of specialities.
Use specialist knowledge to provide clinical advice as required o all staff groups, carers and junior colleagues.
Ensure high quality, dignified, compassionate and evidenced based care is offered to patient and in collaboration with the Team Lead - Perioperative Care, identify the common issues which affect the quality of care, devising clear action plans, to any address any shortcomings ensuring agreed action is taken.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for the post. Welsh/English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be an experienced orthopaedic scrub practitioner who is proactive, self-motivated, has very strong interpersonal skills, and a vision for service improvement. You will be expected to actively support, coordinate and assist in the management and delivery of high quality care to patients during the Peri-operative phase of their care.
you will be expected to suppoort Cavoc Theatres in conjuction with the existing Teams and contribute to the surgical (scrub)management of Orthopaedic surgical specialities.
