Job summary

We are seeking a tenacious, enthusiastic and experienced candidate to cover maternity leave to enable us to continue to drive forward the implementation and delivery of cancer services transformation across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Velindre NHST.

This person will continue to foster partnership working and collaboration across organisations, with the drive to deliver improved outcomes for patients with cancer within the region.

In addition, the post holder will support specific elements of the wider Regional Portfolio with partners across South East Wales and the wider Cardiff and Vale transformation agenda.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Programme Director for Strategic Clinical Redesign, CAVUHB and the Assistant Director of Planning, VNHST, the post holder will continue to drive forward approaches for the implementation and delivery of the cancer services transformation agenda across Cardiff & Vale UHB and Velindre NHST in the context of the recommendations made in the Nuffield report (Dec 2020) Advice on the proposed model for non-surgical tertiary oncology services in South East Wales.

The post holder will lead dedicated planning support for key elements of the service transformation agenda across CAV UHB and with partners across South East Wales.

The post holder will support the Head of Strategic Planning to continually develop and mature the UHBs approach to strategic planning by providing the necessary skills and experience to meet the long-term strategic goals of the organisation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
