Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Breast Surgery Specialist Doctor within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This post is based in the Breast Centre at the University Hospital of Llandough (UHL).
The Breast service is part of the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate and is based in a purpose-built Breast Centre at University Hospital of Llandough. The centre was opened in 2010 and has dedicated out-patient clinics, diagnostic facilities, teaching facilities and office space for all members of the team.
Funding for a 10-session post has been obtained and will include appropriate SPA time and study leave agreed by clinical director.
Applicants should have previous experience of working as a specialty doctor or specialist trainee in breast surgery

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the current Breast Consultants in consolidating the secondary care service provided for the residents of Cardiff and Vale.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is recognised as a teaching centre of excellence in a wide range of clinical services.

- oFour years full-time postgraduate training (or part-time equivalent), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as fixed-term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty, OR equivalent experience / competencies*
