Job summary

To carry out illustration and graphic techniques to the highest professional standards, using the Adobe Creative Cloud software to produce illustrations, social media graphics, animations, 3D artwork, and graphic design materials for patient education, staff and public information. Ensure that all material is produced to a high quality whilst meeting time and budgetary constraints.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Communication and relationshipsWork with clients to solve complex design problems by communicating the potential issues that may arise and work to resolve these. Understand that different audiences have different needs and ensure that work is appropriate to a given audience.Produce design solutions in a timely manner, in a busy environment, often with conflicting priorities.Advise clients on the best methods to meet their graphic design needs to give both a high- quality finished product and be the best use of resources. This includes choosing from multiple options in order to select the best one for solving a complex design problem.Liaise with internal and external printers in order to complete print jobs in a timely manner. Discuss timescales with clients for their work in advance. This can also involve discussing specialist print finishes and prices. Communicating by email, virtually, by phone or face-to-face.Use tact and diplomacy when clients make unachievable requests or requests for unrealistic deadlines.
