Job summary

The Children, Young People and Family Health Services Directorate, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as Team Secretary within our Psychology Team.

The successful applicant should have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to demonstrate substantial administrative experience and be able to meet the main duties of the role.

This diverse role provides a comprehensive administration service to EPATS/Llygad. The role involves working closely with the Psychology Team.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of administration including staffing matters and managing appointments/waiting lists. It will be important to possess good IT skills which will include the use of Microsoft office packages and the need to have an understanding of data protection. Excellent and effective written and spoken communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Main duties of the job

It's important that you are an excellent communicator with experience of working to tight and changing deadlines. Applicants will be highly organised and efficient with excellent time and diary management skills and the ability to prioritise requests and to deal with conflicting demands. A high level of attention to detail supported by strong ICT skills is essential and proven skills and experience of providing secretarial/admin support to numerous teams.

You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy, have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the teams to effectively deliver clinical services. The Band 3 Team Secretary will be based within the CYPFHS in the Early Intervention and Prevention Care Group, based at Woodland House.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person with general administration duties experience
