Job summary

Develop and deliver training solutions for CAV UHB and national IT systems in all training settings (one-to-one, classroom, seminar)

Provide first line support across all platforms for CAV UHB and national IT systems.

Provide and receive complex and/or sensitive information on a range of IM&T matters and systems

Provide Implementation support and training when new system updates are made

Provide Business Analyst support to Project Management Office to ensure Project Briefs are ready for presentation to Senior Management Team

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

This diverse role will require a range of digital, interpersonal and change skills as you support the Implementation Team Manager to train, support and enhance transformational digital systems.

The ideal candidate must be dynamic, resilient and have a flexible approach to working, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Experience in the training / delivery / support of digital technologies is essential as well as experience with Digital implementation projects. The role will act as a first-line system administrator and trainer for many patient systems.

The role will contribute to the delivery of local and national IT strategies at all levels across the Health Board. This will be through the training, support and implementation of a range of digital projects - in co-operation with the Implementation Team Manager - to drive service efficacy. Training and support will be focused on releasing benefits envisaged in the strategies and business plans from both the NHS Wales Informatics Service and Cardiff and Vale UHB Digital Services.

A key part of this role will be to contribute on projects that align with local and national strategy. This will be through working closely with the Senior IT Training and Implementation Officer, Implementation Team Manager and service users of all levels to support and implement projects that achieve and deliver benefits aligned with the strategy.

Ensure training plans are realistic, achievable and targets are met.

Support - Contribute to the running of Digital support functions and optimising efficiency for a wide range of local and national systems. Provide training and support on a range of systems, process and Welsh Government rules that may be highly complicated and/or sensitive, relaying skills advice, support and training as necessary. Support the Implementations Team Manager and key stakeholders during the go-live phase of major systems implementation. Identify weaknesses or additional / specific needs and provide further support and assistance to those users who require it.

Project - Assist Project Management Office in completing Business Analysis for new project requests. Meeting with requesters and key stakeholders in order to complete a comprehensive project brief for delivery to the Project Management Office.

General - Act autonomously as a training, support and change specialist. Manage workload on a daily basis, prioritising as required. Participate in post implementation reviews of new IT systems and modules as appropriate. Ensure benefits realisation following implementation of new systems. Monitor data quality and report back to users encouraging / influencing change in order to increase data quality.

Any additional duties that may be defined by the Senior IT Training and Implementation Officer, Digital & Health Intelligence or Implementation Team Manager.
