Job summary
There has never been a more exciting time to join us and an opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Assurance, Compliance & Asbestos Officer to play a key role within the Health Board.
The post holder will be professionally and technically responsible for Health and Safety for Management of contractors activity and Estates and Asbestos compliance, reporting to the Estates Health and Safety and Asbestos Manager.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include undertaking all aspects of Estates Health and Safety management including development of operational procedures, protocols etc, undertaking risk assessments, work place inspections, development and delivery of Estates Health and Safety action plan, produce asbestos management plan and monitor it's effectiveness, Asbestos surveys, preparation of specifications for tender/quotation of Health and Safety projects/Asbestos removal, reviewing and preparing risk assessments and method statements, challenge activity of contractors, audit and register updating, Health and safety/Asbestos awareness training and assisting with other facility compliance matters and undertaking other duties as required.
Whilst the post holder will assist the Estates Health and Safety and Asbestos Manager in a number of the duties outlines above, they will jointly undertake some duties and the Support Officer will take the lead on certain responsibilities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
