Clinical Fellow (StRL) In Orthopaedics
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Orthopaedics within Cardiff and Vale Health Board, which is available to start as soon as possible until 5th August 2025.
References will be required to cover a minimum of three years of previous employment and/or training

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be based at the University Hospital Llandough which is the elective orthopaedic centre for Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan.
The post holder will work flexibly with colleagues to cover daytime duties of junior doctor colleagues who are on leave or on nights but there will be ample opportunities to attend other sessions including attending theatre lists, outpatient clinics, teaching sessions and multidisciplinary meetings.
There will be opportunities for research or audit projects, with a number of national multicentre and commercial trials currently in progress. There will be an opportunity to develop skills such as research paper writing, delivery of shockwave therapy, oral presentation, surgical skills, outpatient clinic consultation and this can be tailored to the needs of the successful candidate.
The post is ideal for a candidate wishing to make a transition from foundation posts to application for ST posts.
