Advanced Pharmacist to join the Rheumatology & Dermatology multidisciplinary teams at the University Hospital for Wales

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced clinical pharmacist to join our patient-focused and progressive Medicine Pharmacy Team.

The post holder will have the opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services and medicines management to patients of the highly specialised Rheumatology & Dermatology services and play an integral role in directing these services as part of the MDT, ensuring that a sustainable, high quality pharmacy service is provided for the users of these services.

The post holder will be supported in developing their advanced practice by our experienced team of pharmacists and the excellent team of professionals working in both multidisciplinary teams.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist, with excellent communication skills who will work well within the multi-disciplinary teams. Previous experience in either speciality is desirable but not essential.

Your professionalism, excellent inter-personal skills & enthusiasm will equip you to be a valued contributor to our service & a key member of our clinical pharmacy team.

The role will have responsibility for managing and prescribing medication, including biosimilar switches, for patients as well as leading on the development and maintenance of medicines management policies and procedures for these patient cohorts.
