Job summary
A new and exciting, permanent position has arisen for a band 4 Associate Respiratory Physiologist within a busy Lung Function and Sleep Apnoea Department at University Hospital Llandough.
We are a team of 21 staff - including Clinical Scientists, Physiologists and Administrative support, and have 4 Trainee Clinical Scientists on site. We also host a variety of students from Swansea University undertaking in the BSc. Healthcare Science programme.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake a range of routine Lung Function tests independently
- To perform Sleep Apnoea Diagnostics
- Assist senior staff in the Sleep Apnoea Therapy service
- Performs calibration and quality control procedure on all laboratory equipment
- Assist senior staff in the training of junior staff, students, nurses and medical students.
- Work towards the ARTP Associate Professional Examination
They should be confident at working independently, be able to supervise students and enjoy working within a team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
