Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team, leading the delivery of the Vale of Glamorgan Healthy Schools and Healthy and Sustainable Pre-Schools programmes.

This role is a Senior Public Health Practitioner based within the Public Health team in Cardiff and ValeUniversity Health Board, reporting to the Executive Director for Public Health.

This post is fixed term/secondment until 31 March 2025 due to - meet the needs of the service

This post is for 30 hours per week - part time.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will take the lead for the delivery of the Vale of Glamorgan Healthy Schools and Healthy and Sustainable Pre-Schools programmes. The post holder will also support the delivery of the Whole School Approach to Mental Health in schools in the Vale of Glamorgan. These programmes are included within the Cardiff and Vale Local Public Health Plan.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
