Crisis Recovery Unit Band 5 Mental Health Nurse

Job summary

The post holder will be working within a team providing therapeutic care within a holistic philosophy for individuals experiencing mental health needs and who are in acute crisis.

The function of the Crisis Recovery Unit is to prevent hospital admission, to facilitate early discharge and to support family and carers. This will be facilitated in collaboration with the crisis teams, hospital and community based multi-agency resources.

Main duties of the job

To provide therapeutic care delivery to clients who are in mental health crisis, to deliver evidenced based mental health support in a compassionate and person-centred way that will enable the client to move towards their own level of recovery.

To work within a multi-disciplinary team that is able to support clients in a psycho-social and medical framework.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
