We have an excellent history of developing pharmacists to advance to more senior roles both within Cardiff & Vale and further afield. The opportunity to work with us and undertake a structured training programme will allow you to build confidence and competence in practice, with support from experienced practitioners.

Cardiff & Vale UHB are supporting the new HEIW/ Cardiff University post-registration foundation pharmacist training programme within NHS Wales to develop the capabilities to meet the current and future NHS needs and deliver improved care for our residents. The programme will provide an opportunity to develop communities of practice with fellow peers to support each other in everyday practice alongside attainment of an Independent Prescribing qualification.

The HEIW/ Cardiff University programme will include completion of an online ePortfolio to demonstrate achievement of the RPS post-registration foundation pharmacist curriculum learning outcomes and successful completion will support your progression on the RPS professional development pathway.
