Main duties of the job
This is a rare of an opportunity for a future leader of Welsh hospital pharmacy.
We are looking for an experienced and clinically confident hospital pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy service provided to medicine wards at the University Hospital Llandough, St David's and Barry Hospitals.
This role will be immensely rewarding, challenging and exciting. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving the strategic goals of the Pharmacy & Medicines Management Directorate: to deliver the "Pharmacy: Delivering a Healthier Wales" vision and the strategic action plan contained within the Welsh Government's Independent Review of Clinical Pharmacy Services at NHS Hospitals in Wales at the site. The post holder will also play a significant role in the implementation of our identified Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration system.
You will have a clinical commitment within your job plan and will be supported to develop in this aspect of the role.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with a passion for developing others and hospital pharmacy services. You will be fully supported by the Lead Pharmacist for the Medicine Clinical Board to become an accomplished leader and a manager.
You will deputise for the Lead Pharmacist at Senior Management Team meetings of the Medicine Clinical Board and Pharmacy Directorate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
