Job summary
The post holder will join a team of experienced nurses to provide practical training and in reach support to all clinical areas within the Adult, MHSOP and Community Directorates. The service is evolving and the post holder will play an integral part in supporting the service to become more patient centered with the emphasis on restraint reduction strategies through a Positive Behaviour Service framework model
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assisting the SIMA Team with improving standards of practice by developing restraint reduction strategies and delivering training to staff in the Mental Health Directorate in Cardiff and Vale UHB. The main focus of the role is to improve patient care and minimise risks associated with supporting patients with behaviours that challenge. The role is to deliver an excellent standard of training to clinical and non- clinical staff educating staff on developing skills to reduce the incidents of restraint.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
