Job summary
Working within a team of clinical photographers in the Medical Illustration department, assisting in the provision of specialist ophthalmic imaging and photography service, to the Cardiff Eye Unit and other departments of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Main duties of the job
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
To undertake digital scanning of patients' retinas using Ocular Coherence Tomography to agreed protocols under the direction of a senior clinical photographer and in liaison with clinical teams.
Assist the clinical photographers in Medical Illustration by independently carrying out specific image management techniques under the direction of a senior clinical photographer.
To capture routine full fundus and optic disc photographs using a digital fundus camera against standard protocols.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the ophthalmic imaging and photography sections.
